Tell Kingston Council: Stop funding genocide!

Email your local councillors to tell them that it's time to divest. Then join us to show your support when the council debates divestment on Tuesday 8th July.

Kingston Council's Local Government Pension Scheme holds £60 million of investments in companies that are complicit in Israel's ongoing occupation of Palestine and genocidal actions against the Palestinian people. More than 1,500 Kingstonians signed this petition (online and on paper) asking Kingston Council to divest its local government pension scheme from these complicit companies.

Council workers' deferred wages are invested in companies that sell weapons to Israel and businesses actively violating international law according to the United Nations.

Securing council workers' futures should not come at the expense of someone else's.

On Tuesday 8th July, Kingston Council will debate how to proceed with this divestment petition. We need your help to ensure councillors make the right choice: commit to divestment as soon as possible. We need your help:

  2. Show up! Join us from 6:30 - 9pm on Tuesday 8th July at Kingston Council to demonstrate your support for divestment, and hear the council's debate live. If you are available, please sign up here.
